‘A Beautiful Practice’ is an explorative workshop into your personal practice. Drawing on 3 decades of exploration into what practice is, Kate Howe leads this transformative workshop aimed at providing you with the fundamentals to effectively analyze and understand your own personal practice, whether you’re beginning, or an established artist. Drawing on their expansive experience across disciplines including yoga, meditation, sport, art and writing, Kate will guide you through introspective discussion, talks, and group exercises in a casual setting, allowing participants to be vulnerable and introspective in a judgement free environment. Kate Howe has been a professional educator since 2007 and a professional artist since 2001. They have worked as a teacher trainer and personal coach and mentor for the past 27 years, mentoring artists at all levels of their career, from beginners all the way through to established artists.
Please bring your own writing materials and lunch, drinks will be provided throughout the day.
Workshop leader Kate Howe is the founder of and Artist in Residence at RuptureXIBIT (+Studio) and has given guest lectures at schools such as Central St.Martins and the University of Salford. Kate has been featured in various publications including Jiboom Publications Poetry Annual, The Saturday Afternoon Journal and is the author of the popular blog Skiing in the Shower.
