RuptureXIBIT (+Studio) is an artist-run space in London, a 30-minute train ride from Waterloo, 20 minutes from Clapham Junction, and steps away from the station in Hampton Wick. We exist to encourage the development of artistic practice in all disciplines, focusing on showing rather than selling. While artists are welcome to sell their work, our purpose is to highlight the potential for growth that comes from conversations that arise during a residency and Open Studio.

RuptureXIBIT is shared as a flexible laboratory space giving artists an affordable place to expand and define their practice by responding to their interests, the space, locality and opportunity, to define their practice by showing their experimental and resolved work and talking about it across disciplines and communities devoid of hierarchy. Experimental means experimental to you: how you ask more of your practice. We accept proposals based on the artist’s desire to develop through pushing their practice.
RuptureXIBIT is interested in the new, and believes the new comes from an engagement with a willingness to stretch, push, and fail. We are a lab, a workout space, a place to try things you are unsure of.
We are your trampoline.
